PRIVATE CLASSES

We can usually schedule private classes with at least 2 weeks' notice. Choose between:

  • Wheelthrowing (using a pottery wheel – yes, like in Ghost!)

  • Handbuilding (creating pottery at the table using pinching, coiling, and/or slabs)

Class Details & Pricing:

  • Base rate (1.5 hours, 1 person): $100

  • Each extra person: +$50

  • Max group size: 4 people (for 5-8, email us with at least 2 month’s notice and we’ll see what we can do)

  • Clay included!

      • 10AM-3PM (Teacher: Ness Kent)

    • Wednesdays

      • 9AM - 12PM (Teacher: Rachael Hudson)

    • Thursdays

      • 9AM - 12PM (Teacher: Emma Raynor)

    • Fridays

      • 10AM - 4PM (Teacher: Rey Hansen)

    • Sorry! We don’t have availability for private classes on weekday evenings or weekends.

Let us know which day of the week and/or date works for you when booking!

Finishing Your Pottery:

  • If you want your work glazed & fired, it’s $10 per piece (paid directly to your teacher at the end of class).

  • Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in about 1 month.

  • If you want to glaze your own work, you’ll need at least 2-3 classes.

Booking:

Fill out the form at the bottom of this page with:

  • Group size

  • Choice of Wheelthrowing or Handbuilding

  • Preferred date(s)/time(s) (within the availability windows & at least 2 weeks in advance)

We’ll check availability and confirm with you!

Cancellation Policy:

  • Payment is due in full once date/time are confirmed. We will email an invoice via Square.

  • 5+ days before class: Refund minus 10% fee

  • 2-4 days before class: 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours: No refund

FAQs:

  • Can we bring food & drinks? Yes, but only quick snacks & non-alcoholic drinks.

  • What should we wear? Comfy clothes that can get dirty! If wheelthrowing, wear bottoms you can sit in a wide-leg position.

  • Other tips?

    • Long nails make wheelthrowing tricky—trim them or expect modifications.

    • Enjoy the process—it takes time to learn!

    • The last 20 minutes of class will be for clean-up.
