This 8 week session class runs weekly on Monday evenings from 5:30-8:30 PM. Students will learn wheel throwing basics such as throwing and trimming, and glazing. The class is open to all levels, including beginners & intermediates. All materials and kiln firings are included.

Use of studio tools and equipment
Pickup Info:
Finished work will be ready approximately 4 weeks after class. The instructor will contact via email you when it’s ready. Please note: pieces must be picked up within 4 weeks of that email. Unclaimed work will be donated to Byrdie’s Free Pottery Box.

In this eight-week handbuilding course, you'll explore foundational clay techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction. Projects may include cups, bowls, vases, trays, and sculptural forms—tailored to your interests and pace. The first three classes will cover the handbuilding basics of pinch, coil, and slab techniques. By the 4th and 5th class you are welcome to focus on one or more of these techniques to create any project you desire, with support from the instructor.
This class is geared toward all levels of experience.

This 8 week session runs weekly on Thursday evenings. This class is only open to Intermediate students. If you have taken at least two multi-week wheelthrowing courses, we consider you an intermediate student! In this class, the instructor will help you hone your skills, learn more autonomy in your studio practice, and refine your forms, attachments, and techniques. Possible goals include - throwing bigger, narrow-necked vessels, surface decoration, etc.
