In this 8 week class series, you will learn how to BOTH handbuild and throw on the wheel! With handbuilding, you'll explore foundational clay techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction. With wheelthrowing, you’ll learn how to wedge, throw, trim, and glaze your pieces.

This class is geared toward all levels of experience.

Included:

• All materials, including clay & glaze

• Bisque and glaze firings

• Instructor-led demonstrations and hands-on support

• Use of studio tools and equipment

Pickup Info:
Finished work will be ready approximately 3–4 weeks after the final class. Your instructor will email you when your pieces are ready for pickup. Please collect them within 4 weeks of notification—unclaimed work will be donated to Byrdie’s Free Pottery Box.

BIPOC Fellowship Spots
We reserve 3 discounted spots in each class for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color. If those are filled, BIPOC students are still welcome to register at the general rate. Learn more here:

COVID Policy
If a student tests positive for COVID-19, they must notify their instructor. We will follow current CDC guidelines and may require proof of a negative test before returning to class.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations 5 or more days before class begins: refund minus a 10% cancellation fee

• Cancellations within 5 days of the first class: 50% refund

• Cancellations within 24 hours of the first class: no refund
