Join us for a relaxed, supportive six-week class designed especially for adults aged 50 and up! In this handbuilding course, you'll explore foundational clay techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction. Whether you're brand new to clay or returning after a long break, this class is a great way to build skills and enjoy creative time with others. Projects may include cups, bowls, vases, trays, and sculptural forms—tailored to your interests and pace.
This class is geared toward all levels of experience and all levels of mobility. We’ll take time to adapt techniques and tools to make sure everyone can work comfortably and confidently.

All materials
Bisque and glaze firings
Instructor-led demonstrations and hands-on support
Use of studio tools and equipment
Pickup Info:
Finished work will be ready approximately 3–4 weeks after the final class. Your instructor will email you when your pieces are ready for pickup. Please collect them within 4 weeks of notification—unclaimed work will be donated to Byrdie’s Free Pottery Box.
BIPOC Fellowship Spots
We reserve 2 discounted spots in each class for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color. If those are filled, BIPOC students are still welcome to register at the general rate. Learn more here:

COVID Policy
If a student tests positive for COVID-19, they must notify their instructor. We will follow current CDC guidelines and may require proof of a negative test before returning to class.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations 5 or more days before class begins: refund minus a 10% cancellation fee
Cancellations within 5 days of the first class: 50% refund
Cancellations within 24 hours of the first class: no refund
